Information to Parents/Carers:
At the end of the child's session the key worker
makes time to talk to the parents and go through the
daily diary. This informs the parents of the
the child has eaten.
activities the child has engaged with
long the child has slept for.
Toileting and personal hygiene routines.
General comments on the day.
We have two parents’ evenings a year. One is a
traditional meeting with the staff to provide
feedback on your child’s progress. The other is an
interactive evening where parents can discover what
their children get up during a typical day.
Children's requirements: Prior to the child
joining Learning Curve, the staff meet with the
parent/carer and the child to discuss the needs of
the child. This assists the child in "getting to
know” their Early Years Practitioners (EYP's).
Equal Opportunities: In promoting equal
opportunities, Learning Curve has regard to
admission and access to the resources, activities
and facilities available to children in its care.
All children and adults are treated with equal
concern and the EYP's have due regard to relevant
anti-discriminatory good practice. The EYP's liaise
with parents/carer to ensure that all children's
records contain information that enables appropriate
care to be given.
Data Protection (Data Protection Act 1998):
Confidentiality of information is maintained at
Learning Curve Day Nursery in accordance with the
code of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
