Festive Occasions

We celebrate all sorts of events at Learning Curve, and unlike the snow, we know about most of them in advance.

For our Christmas party this year Badgers Bank put on a nativity play and the parents were delighted by the curious antics and quaint outfits. Well that was just the staff.

The children were truly delightful too.

Mr Jack amused children and parents alike with his magic show and to follow, Santa Claus diverted from his busy schedule to pop in and give  some presents to the children.
After Christmas comes the Chinese New Year, and our older children spent a week exploring all things Chinese. They made a huge dragon and dressed up in Chinese clothes.
Lunch in the    Chinese restaurant was the highlight of the week but, sorry mums and dads, there were no take-aways

The Great Snow Event 2009

After repeated requests over the last 5 years the Met   Office finally produced some fine quality snow for the children
With meticulous planning, the snow event was planned for the Monday Morning rush hour, and for those that missed it, it was repeated over the next four days
Needless to say, our children did not miss a single flake and they quickly set to work rolling, squashing, throwing and sculpturing the white stuff

Oh, and some of them liked to eat is too...

Art - It’s Serious Fun   - in Walnut Grove

You just cannot get too serious about painting, you know. First choose your brush or pencil,
concentrate hard and wait for inspiration  ( that’s about 5 seconds),
liberally load brush with the bright wet coloured stuff and apply to paper
concentrate a bit more
think of a title
and there you have it a work of art for mum to take home

Happy (Noisy) Days in Honey Street

In Honey Street, some of us get about a bit better than others, but everyone enjoys a good sing-song when we have Music Bugs on Thursday mornings.

We bang the drums and rattle the castanets and Jai’s mum says she can hear us from her office.
Some of us get a bit happy-clappy..
While others like to rattle the crockery
And then we wrap up the session with a big colourful parachute

Action Days In Badgers Bank

Well us Curious Cubs are not to be outdone you know. We learn about so many exciting things everyday, you just would not believe it.

Here we are clowning about for Red Nose Day
And Tom is practising his agility skills with our tennis coach, George
