Winter At Learning Curve |
|
|
Airy-fairy-hairy-Mary
may be shivering in the snow now but back in the Autumn
we were busy preparing for Spring by planting some bulbs |

Pumpkin Day |
|
|
But soon the nights were drawing in and witches and
pumpkins were seen in the Nursery |

Oh We Do Love To Dress Up |
|
|
After
Pumpkin Day it was Bonfire Night, but we did not dress
up for that. Some Guy did though, but he got burnt! Next
it was Children in Need and dress-down Friday. So we all
got dressed up for that one—even the grown-ups!

|
And in
December some of dressed up for the Nativity Play: three
wise men, five bandidos and three…? |

Christmas |
|
|
We held two
parties this year, one for the babies and one for the
twos and pre-school. The babies had a visit from a
Christmas fairy and an elf who gave them some presents
|
 |
|
As ever,
Jack Stephens put on a wonderful magic show for the
older children and after he had left we had a surprise
visitor: arriving on his 6 reindeer-power, turbo
four-by-four sled an elderly gent in a very fetching
fur-trimmed red coat came in to give some presents to
the children. |
 |
|
After
receiving so much for Christmas it was only fitting that
the children were able to do some giving. The hampers
that had been put together so generously by our parents
were presented to Richard Belsham of the Swindon Food
Bank, an organisation dedicated to feeding Swindon
people in crisis. |

Now Wash Your Hands |
|
|
With all
the talk of swine flu we just have to make sure we keep
our hands clean. (if only we could do our noses as
well!)
First we
have to make sure that the water is the right
temperature. |
 |
|
Then we can
apply the soap |
 |
|
But
sometimes we have to make sure that the grown-ups do it
properly as well. |
