After a long
hard winter what better place to take the nursery outing
than to the Cotswold Farm Park. It was a lovely sunny
morning when we set off but by the time we got to the
farm, it was blowing a gale and freezing cold. Ah yes,
this is the highest point in the Cotswolds and it is
only April! |

Never mind, there was lots going under cover and
everyone had a great time with the animals. We watched a
milking demonstration, saw some new hatched chicks and
later in the day we some some brand new piglets, born
that very day |
Some of us drove some small tractors |
And some tried to drive a slightly larger one |
What do you think of that Nanny? Maybe we won’t
ask! |

Midsummer Mayhem |
Midsummer
day was almost upon us in June and it was time to light
up the barbecue and get out the bunting for our Family
Fun Day. The sun shone and the people came and everyone
had a great time hooking ducks, splatting rats, bowling
at skittles, and thanks to all our helpers we raised
over £1,000 on the day for CALM, Swindon’s own
children’s’ cancer and leukaemia charity. |

Some faces needed attention for the big parade later |
And there were some wonderful costumes for the dressing
up parade. |

But what’s this? A big cat on the loose in the nursery?

The Learning Journey |
Indoors or
outdoors for our children life is a journey of
discovery, a….Learning Curve! |
Learning to
write our name or how to make pictures by cutting and
sticking, making potato heads, or sitting in the
garden with a book of pictures of wild animals—it’s all
part of that exciting process. |

Fun With Food |
As we all
know, with men, everything revolves around food, while
with children food often revolves around the mouth, the
plate, the table, the floor…. At Learning Curve
every meal is an experience to be savoured, by everyone
in their own unique way: |
….Contemplate it |
...nibble it…… |
….taste it |
…...bite into it…... |
..stuff it in! |
