Easter Bonnets

Easter came early this year, but were we caught out? Not at all! We had our bonnets ready in plenty of time for the big day:
Egghead
Head For Heights
It's A Breeze
Head For The Hills
Bristol Zoo
In May we had our first outing of the year when we went to Bristol Zoo
The babies stayed behind to look after the shop but everyone else had a great day out.
Oh look! Here are some humanoids inside their air-conditioned enclosure. Have they been fed yet?
Parents Evening

Reports were circulating that parents were meeting secretly under the cover of darkness late one evening in February.

We sent our special investigations editor Oliver Archer and undercover reporter Michael (you-don’t-know-me) Redmond to find out more…..

Yes it’s all true! Parents are going out after bedtime and meeting at the Nursery to do you’ll never guess what….draw pictures and make things out of egg cartons and glue!

“It was quite incredible!”, writes Michael. “There they were, in our rooms with the teachers trying to do what we do every day of the week.”

“It was funny really” Oliver added,” some of them could not even manage to stick the glitter on!”

Tree Planting

In March we were given a box of tiny saplings containing a selection of indigenous species such as Birch, Rowan and Wild Cherry. The children from Badgers Bank helped to plant out the tiny trees to make a copse.  Perhaps in 20 years time they will come back and see how big their trees have grown.

Just hold the line a moment we are having a dolly hard time here”

Want a hand there?
Thanks, you're a real brick.
I'm sticking up for myself!
Well that really takes the biscuit!
Who's hiding in the willow house?
Shhh! We are!
Not me - I'm getting out of here!
Helping Hands

Poor Chef, never gets a moment's respite.

Sometimes she just cannot cope on her own.

Fortunately there are some willing volunteers happy to get their fingers in the pie to help her out
Meanwhile in the garden Alan has recruited some people whose fingers tend towards the green shade.
